With the help of a professional flat iron, I can get my unruly and long hair to look like figure 1.

But that was last summer, and I have a crappy drug store flat iron, so fig. 2 is basically what my hair looks like now: a cross between Roseanne Roseannadanna and a witch on trial.  I am too vain to take a picture of my mess, so I’ve included an artist’s reenactment.
